Golant is particularly known for the production of cider and still boasts a working cider press, over 50 varieties of apples grown (many of them) local to the village as well as a modern producer of sparkling vintage cider. The Heritage Group ran a year long project in 2015 to gather together and record historical information and celebrate the tradition in words, music and craft projects.
